Hailing from South London, Bristol based beat brewer Easy Green believes music should be about good vibes, good times and bringing people together. Easy takes a no holds barred approach to making music, drawing inspiration from numerous genres across the spectrum including future beats, hip-hop, trap and house. After a trip to Havana he was inspired to take his sound in a new direction with influences from South America including salsa, cumbia, bolero and baile funk. His early influences include Basement Jaxx, Quantic, Mr. Scruff and Bonobo. Easy also cites Soulection pioneers Sango and Lakim, and hip-hop legends Pete Rock and J Dilla as others who have heavily influenced his production. His sound has been compared to the likes of Flying Lotus, Madlib and Nujabes, and has been described as a new take on hip-hop, with lush chords, boom-bap rhythms, and hard hitting drums you’ll nodding your head in no time. When he’s not making music he’s probably cooking a fry up or digging through the dusty crates to find that next bit of fuego.
